TCP/IP Cellular appliance providing Ethernet connectivity

Description

T1 over Cellular appliance

Description

T1 over Cellular directly replaces wireline data transmission devices usually associated with TDM analog T1 circuitry consisting usually of 24 DS0 64 Kbps channels. This solution provisions the ability to either replace or supplement the existing T1 pipeline with an carrier approved Cellular appliance. These devices operate best on a LTE Cellular Data Network but will also work well on traditional 3G and 4G networks. Originally intended to operate as a failover or supplemental backup device, these solutions can also function as the primary communications platform to totally replace the wireline connection. Depending upon the sampling rate and volume of data transmitted, larger Cellular Data plans may be required. The appliance can be configured to automatically failover to Cellular in the event of wireline service interruption. The appliance will dynamically switch back to wireline operation when that connectivity is returned to operation. Alternatively, the appliance will operate in a primary mode with an alternative cellular carrier being positioned as the secondary pathway. Such a configuration becomes a fully cellular operation.
The DataRemote T1 over Cellular solution encapsulates full and fractional T1 and TDM circuits, along with their framing and signaling bits, into IP packets. The solution creates the equivalent of an IP Tube carrying a full T1 Over Cellular. This solution can provide for transparent interconnection of most T1 based communication systems using traditional wireless connectivity.
The T1 interfaces have configurations that provide independent protocol, compression, packet sizing, buffering, clocking, framing, coding and channel settings. DataRemote has harnessed the capability of T1 over the a Cellular Network.

Radio over Cellular appliance

Description

Radio over Cellular directly replaces wireline control circuitry for transmission of Two Way Radio traffic. Intended to replace microwave, T1 wireline and other private line links.Either as primary or failover with or without dual carrier capability. This product can be used to connect public service, utility or other organizations involved in operating a mission critical two-way mobile radio system for dispatching mobile units. Typically, operators of such systems would be Police, Fire, Search and Rescue, Utility and other first responder organizations. In addition, any fleet operator or organization that dispatched remote mobile units would be a candidate for this solution.

Description

DS0 over Cellular directly replaces wireline DS0 (Sub or fractional T1) Analog TDM circuitry. Either as primary or failover with or without dual carrier capability.

Bell 202 Modem Bookend over Cellular

Description

Provides for Bell 202 standard wireline modem replacement capabilities over Cellular. This simple solution requires two data plans, two SIM chips and two Cellular appliances. Simply configured, a device goes at either end of a circuit creating a mobile to mobile connection. The result permits traditional Serial data communications to be transmitted over a Cellular appliance. This is a good solution where a customer has stranded investments in legacy hardware and is looking for an alternative to wireline connectivity. As with most DataRemote products, this solution may be configured as either a primary with failover to another carrier. The dual carrier capability creates another pathway for mission critical communications.

POTS in a BOX™

Description

POTS in a BOXTM Cellular appliance directly replaces wireline Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines including capability for transmission of voice, FAX, alarm, ring-down, emergency lines and full access to E-911.


Overview

The POTS in a BOXTMsolution enables legacy analog wireline in-band Voice, Machine to Machine (M2M) Data, DTMF tones, data modem tones (FSK and PSK) traffic currently connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to be carried over a Cellular Network. Since the advent of 3G and faster service, Cellular Networks have not been able to consistently and successfully transmit some of this traffic. This situation is the result of industry wide technology changes in cellular transmission formats. With the consumer and business community moving away from traditional wireline service, alternative pathways are required. The POTS in a BOXTMsolution uses a Cellular Data Network and a custom Access Point Name (APN) to provide high levels of security and reliable cellular connectivity. A firewalled Network Operating Center (NOC) routes Cellular data received via the Cellular Network to or from the PSTN to enable call origination or call completion to occur. POTS in a BOXTMreplaces existing wireline analog lines and permits uninterrupted, fast and reliable bi-directional call completion without the need for wireline “dial tone” to transport the call including traditional analog voice telephone service, E-911 traffic, FAX, and Burglar and Fire Alarm traffic. Any application functionality that requires a traditional wireline dial tone based circuit may utilize POTS in a BOXTMfor connectivity. Additional applications include “ring down” style private line circuit replacement, elevator emergency call phones, parking lot and garage emergency telephones, burglar and fire alarm reporting lines, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) command and control circuit replacement (when dial-up is required), Automatic Meter Reading (AMR), Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and point of sale terminal applications (credit card machines). Included is the capability for voice access to E-911 Emergency Services lines.
POTS in a BOXTMrepresents a self-contained Cellular appliance that provides for connecting various communications devices including traditional telephone sets as well as other M2M equipment. Unlike other services, POTS in a BOXTMuses the Cellular Data Network for all voice and data communications by converting the entire analog audio stream to an Internet Protocol (IP) data stream. This IP data stream is highly secure and transmitted over a Cellular Network for delivery via a custom APN to the NOC. The data stream ultimately is converted back to an analog voice band stream for call completion over the traditional PSTN. The service provides for bi-directional traffic. That is, calls may be originated or terminated via the Cellular end of the circuit or from any telephone connected to the PSTN via a Local Exchange Carrier (LEC).

  • POTS in a BOXTM is backward compatible with legacy equipment and telephones and protects existing or stranded assets by insuring connectivity into the future.
  • POTS in a BOXTM has provisions to retain existing telephone numbers associated with legacy equipment.
  • POTS in a BOXTM is pre-configured to begin operation by simply plugging in the power cord after attaching existing equipment via the included RJ-11C registered jack. Device will auto register and establish communications.
  • POTS in a BOXTM is a Cellular Service that will permit transmission (both send and receive) of Facsimiles.

Details

POTS in a BOXTM requires a monthly service fee for service management and access to the NOC, a monthly Cellular Data Plan and fees associated with Federal, State and Local taxes associated with E-911 and local telephone service.
POTS in a BOXTM devices are registered to specific street address (for E-911 purposes) and should not be moved to alternate locations without first notifying the customer service provisioning center as to the new physical street address. This is due to the E-911 aspects of the service. VIEW THE DATASHEET HERE!


Options

POTS in a BOXTM configurations are available with backup battery power, rain-tight NEMA style enclosures, dual cellular carrier cellular appliance options (for redundancy or failover of critical communications), external antenna options, rack mounting options, solar power options, and alternate operating supply power voltages to meet unique customer requirements. Environmental packaging for extreme situations is also an option including industrial components. Full staging and kitting prior to delivery as well as pre-configurations needed for E-911 access are also available. Multi line devices are available to meet special requirements.

Description

POTS in a BOXTM Monthly Management Services including Dynamic Traffic Management options are available. These services provide for enhanced number administration, Network monitoring to verify connectivity, notification services to report service interruptions, E-911 physical location tracking and management as well as access to on-line dashboard views of performance, usage, connectivity and logistics management. In-depth details are available upon request. This service is required for each active POTS in a BOXTM line that is currently active. This service also manages the E-911 taxes and fees associated with the all PSTN lines that can access E-911. See further discussion under heading: Logistics for taxes, billing, fees, operations.
